Private Fees

Ravensthorpe and Hopetoun Medical Centres are mixed Billing Practices. The Dr will privately bill patients. If you are experiencing financial hardship, please discuss with the doctor or one of our friendly reception staff

Communication

You are able to talk to your Doctor should you need, however if the Doctor is busy then a message can be left with the receptionist who will then pass the message onto the Doctor.

If the message is URGENT, please advise the receptionist. Our practice does not communicate with it’s patients by email.

Follow up Of Test Results

Due to the Privacy Act and for medico-legal reasons, it is the policy of Livingston Medical Ravensthorpe and Hopetoun practices that results are not given over the phone. Please make an appointment to follow-up with your Doctor after your test results have been completed. Livingston Medical operates an electronic recall and reminder tracking system to ensure you are always upto date with results and health reminders.

Access to your personal Health Information

Under the Commonwealth Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 and the Health Records Act 2001(Victoria) The HRA gives individuals a right of access to their personal health information held by any organisation in the private sector, Please enquire with the manager for further information.

Complaints

We encourage patients to raise any issues about their experience in our Doctor’s Surgeries either directly with the Doctor or with the manager. If your complaint remains unresolved please contact AHPRA The Australian Health Professionals Regulation Authority.
